Integrated Planning and Reporting

What is Integrated Planning and Reporting?

All councils in NSW are required to develop an Integrated Planning and Reporting (IPR) Framework under legislative requirements prescribed in the NSW Local Government Act 1993. This framework has been put in place to encourage councils, the community and other organisations to work together to plan for the future in an efficient and collaborative manner. The IPR has five main components:

  1. Community Strategic Plan
  2. Delivery Program and Operational Plan
  3. Resourcing Strategy
  4. Annual Report
  5. State of Ballina Shire Report

Planning and Delivery

Council's Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program and Operational Plan are key strategic documents.

Engagement

To track our progress and identify the community priorities, Council completes a community survey every two years.

Reporting

Council's Annual Report and State of Ballina Shire Report track our progress and achievements.
