Community Swimming Pools

Ballina Shire Council operates two public swimming pools, located in Ballina and Alstonville. Both facilities feature a FINA-compliant, heated 50-metre pool with eight 2.5-metre-wide lanes for competition swimming, along with a range of aquatic and community amenities. Community Swimming Pools Entry Fees 2026/27

Reciprocal arrangements for pass holders are available. This means that pass holders can access both the Alstonville and Ballina pool facilities, regardless of which pool the pass was purchased. The reciprocal arrangements include all passes: adults, children, families, concession annual, three month and ten-ticket passes, as well as season passes.

Adult prices

  • Single Entry - $6.70
  • Ten Ticket Pass - $60

Child prices

  • Single Entry (under 2yrs free) - $5.70
  • Ten Ticket Pass - $50
  • Three Month Pass - $143

Family prices

  • Single Entry (1 adult & 2 children) - $15 (+$4.70 per additional child)
  • Single Entry (2 adults & 2 children) - $21 (+$4.70 per additional child)
  • Three Month Pass (2 adults & 2 children or 1 adult & 3 children) - $365 (+ $62 per additional child)
  • 12 Month Pass (2 adults & 2 children or 1 adult & 3 children) - $1,065 (+ $132 per additional child)

SSS Department of Education Learn to Swim Discounts Council recognises the importance of young children learning to swim and be safe around water. Applies to schools located in Ballina Shire and children attending a 'Learn to Swim' class - $4

The supervising adult for a child/children attending a 'Learn to Swim' class will not be charged entry.


Fundraising/special events - admission and hire fees by arrangement after written application to Council
