Small Business Friendly Council

Ballina Shire Council is proud to be ‘small business friendly’ as part of the state-wide initiative, The Small Business Friendly Councils Program.

The Office of the Small Business Commissioner and NSW Business Chamber want to improve the overall business climate for small businesses in NSW and raise awareness of the difference that local government can make by working proactively to engage with small business.

Councils who sign up to the Program commit to a Charter which sets out a number of benchmarks that council agrees to meet an foster and support small businesses in their area.

The Small Business Friendly Councils Program was launched on 17 September 2014, you can read the Media Release here.
