Heritage advice

Specialist heritage consultants, local heritage groups, or government agencies may be required for the care and maintenance of heritage items and buildings, and development proposals, in cases where the development involves a heritage item or is within the vicinity of heritage listed items or places.

Council understands the changing function of many historic buildings and seeks to apply heritage conservation guidelines with flexibility to enable the adaptation of historic buildings to meet contemporary needs while maintaining heritage significance.
