  • Following government directives.

Water transmission

There is no evidence that COVID-19 can spread through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance and disinfection of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19. Similarly, COVID-19 has not been detected in drinking water and conventional water treatment methods used by Council, such as disinfection and filtration inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.

For more information about COVID-19 and how it relates to drinking water, recreational water and wastewater visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website cdc.gov/coronavirus
