Community Priorities and Satisfaction Surveys

Ballina Shire Council undertakes community surveys every two years to understand community priorities and satisfaction with Council's performance.

From 2008 to 2022 Council engaged Micromex Research to randomly survey 500 Ballina Shire residents by telephone (landline and mobile).  The survey results can be downloaded below:


Community Satisfaction Survey - Development Application Process

In 2018 Council engaged a research company (Micromex Research) to undertake a satisfaction survey that involved a sample of approximately 300 applicants who had submitted a planning application to the Council in recent years. The results of this survey can be viewed below:


Community Engagement Strategy 

In 2022 Council reviewed its Community Engagement Strategy to meet legislative requirements for community participation under the Local Government Act 1993 and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. The engagement strategy can be viewed below:
