Community Donations

Ballina Shire Council offers a Community Donations Program to provide financial assistance for Community Groups and capital works assistance for Community Sporting Groups program annually for not for profit organisations. Please refer to the policy guidelines for either program under 'Donations' at ballina.nsw.gov.au/council-policies.

Applications for both of these programs open annually at the start of May, then close at the end of May and are reviewed by Council for decision in July with funding awarded for use within the new financial year.

Council also offers a Donations Program for Australian Representation to assist Ballina Shire residents that are selected in a team or event that is part of a nationally recognised federation to represent Australia domestically or internationally.
