Intersection Upgrade - Main St and The Avenue, Alstonville

Alstonville’s Main Street intersection upgrade is nearing completion. The final stage of work is the shared path upgrade between Main Street and Cawley Close.

Funded by the NSW Government’s Get NSW Active program, this upgrade will provide a safer environment for pedestrians and cyclists. 

The upgrade has included:

• New pedestrian crossing with street lighting at The Avenue
• Raised and asphalt road surface
• New kerb and gutter
• Stormwater and drainage upgrades
• Extended median strip along Main Street to improve vehicle turning lines
• New accessible carparking space
• Landscaping.
