Trainees and Apprentices

Council hosts a number of technical trainees and apprentices and has provided ongoing commitment and support in providing traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities to our community in a variety of fields including horticulture, mechanical, water operations, building, plumbing, electrical, civil construction and administration.

The traineeship and apprenticeship program is highly valued by Council as it acknowledges the important role creating such opportunities to build technical skills and ability has on Council, the community and broader society.

Council partners with Local Government Group Training (LGGT), a subsidiary of Novaskill, to provide traineeship and apprentice opportunities within Council. Council also offers professional traineeship and graduate opportunities in fields such as planning, building, surveying and engineering.
